MoBand & Concerts in the Park!
How to play in MoBand!
There are no auditions. Just come and play! Sign up at the bottom of this page to indicate which weeks you are planning on playing!
We have over 100 musicians each week on stage at our concerts. To play in the band, musicians (ranging from 13-90 years of age) have played at least 3 years on your instrument to be successful, and have graduated the 8th grade. That said, we have a very wide range of skill in the band and lots of people who are glad to help if you feel insecure! Don't worry, just come and have fun!
We play Grade 3-5 level music (high school to early college level). Some of the music you will find is easily accessible while other pieces may require a little practice.
We only rehearse Mondays and Wednesdays in the Mancini Hall at 708 Tuolumne Blvd. from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
This year we will have four concerts in June and July, on Thursday evenings, which start at 8:00 PM at Mancini Bowl in Graceada Park, downtown Modesto.
Come play for one week - all four - every other one - whatever your summer schedule permits!
We hope you will join us this summer...

Vaccinated players - suggested
It is suggested that you are vaccinated before playing in MoBand. However, we do not require you to be vaccinated. That is your choice so you are better protected against more serious symptoms should you become infected. At this moment, all people, 12 and older, are eligible for the COVID vaccine. (May 2021)
We know that the COVID virus continues to exist in the world and we want you to be as safe as you need to be! Come and play if feel comfortable or skip this year. You get to make that choice.
We will do our best to provide a clean space every rehearsal. Masks are not required. Musician facemasks are not required. Instrument bell covers are not required. Anything mask/instrument cover-related you personally wish to use in rehearsal is welcomed.
